iRide

So J and I decided we need to add Daley Ranch into the mix more often. It’s a fun trail to ride and you get in some good climbing. We set out after work on Thursday and busted out the old loop. It felt good to ride there again–and the loop we do there is really fun. I rode there a ton last year and the year prior, so riding there again was almost like visiting an old friend in a way.

As I mentioned before, I’m bringing the camera along on every ride now. I’m glad I am too, or I’d miss out on sharing cool photos like this:

We crested the top of a climb when we saw him slithering off trail into the bushes. He was pretty long. The vegetation was pretty sparse where he went in and we were able to see that he was at least 3′ long–if not closer to 4′. By the time I got the camera out, he was on to us and found some more dense bushes to hide in. I was able to zoom in though and get this one of him taking a peek to see if the coast was clear.

The rest of the ride was great and J and I decided we will be going back a lot more. A good ride at Daley Thursday after work was a cool way to kick off a 3-Day weekend for sure!!

One of the good things about our new place, is that it gives us one of the best views of the local fireworks show in all of Fallbrook. Where they were shooting the fireworks off was about 200 yards from my front yard. Pretty cool!! I tried out the “Fireworks” setting on the new camera to see how it would do. Here are some of the better ones:
