New house, no rides

As I mentioned before, we decided to finally make the move back up to Fallbrook. Tonya works here. We go to church here. Taekwondo is here. It just makes sense. So last weekend was the big move. I took off work Friday and moved some of the more fragile electronics. Then dad helped me go get a refrigerator.

Saturday, we brought in a 26′ U-Haul. Jeremy, Mike and April, dad and Sean, Dylan, Tonya and me all set to work. It went pretty smooth and we were loaded, transported, unloaded and had the U-Haul returned all by 4pm!! Thanks to the Lystra and Morris clan for coming over to help us unload!!

It’s so awesome to be back in Fallbrook. Ramona was OK, but Fallbrook just seems more like home. No more long commutes–for work, from 45 minutes down to 22 minutes. Plus no more hour drive home after Taekwondo. I get to sleep in a little bit more–from getting up at 4:45am to getting up at 5am and eating breakfast at home before I head out. Plus, the money savings is quite significant. I only used 1/4 a tank of gas to and from work all week–instead of having to fill up twice. Living closer to work allows me to eat all meals at home instead of constantly having to eat out. I used to spend $60-$75 a week in food. This week I spent $4.

I took a few pics of the new digs:

View from the street:

Down at the edge of the front yard looking at front of house. The yard is huge!! Horseshoe pit and all:

Back Yard:

Back of house:

The view from our front deck/porch. This pic does it no justice:

We still have a lot of unpacking to do. I also came down with this weird summer cold that’s been going around. All that means I haven’t got a ride in in almost 2 weeks. UGH!!! Hopefully I can remedy that soon!! Until next time, seek your bliss.

Ride lots…
